Workiva is seeking a B2B Content Marketing Manager who will help write, shape, and implement successful content that supports demand generation, lead nurturing and engagement, brand content, and thought leadership for Workiva, the maker of Wdesk. We are looking for a highly knowledgeable individual with expertise in all things related to content and channel optimization, brand consistency and segmentation meaningful measurement. This position owns the day-to-day management of the content team and freelancers. The B2B Content Marketing Manager will execute a content marketing strategy that connects people and their businesses to our brand. This position will develop close relationships with experts and industry influencers to bring compelling content experiences to life across digital channels, defining metrics to track and enable the success of content marketing programs.
What You’ll Do:
Develop content marketing initiatives by leveraging industry trends and news, corporate brand, and solution value propositions that drive traffic, engagement, and marketing qualified leads, driving sales
Frame core ideas (developmental editorial), write, and edit content on business issues
Utilize sophisticated B2B writing such as: white papers, blogs, social media writing, bylined articles, website content, video scripts, sales enablement materials, product data sheets, case studies, brochures, infographic copy, demo scripts, and demand creation copy
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, leverage a complex, matrixed organizational structure and establish priorities serving a diverse stakeholder group
Conduct independent research and interviews to help develop our distinctive point of view on specific topics that impact finance, compliance, integrated risk, and reporting teams in public and private companies and public-sector and government organizations
Translate industry trends into understandable summaries for all channels, including white papers, video interviews, digital interactive content, webinars, and social media
Edit content for substance, sophistication, logic, grammar, voice, and sentence structure
Contribute to search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives with keyword prioritization based on input from key stakeholders
Collaborate across Workiva to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to enhance our pipeline and to generate new leads
Serve as workflow management lead
Manage editorial calendar that aligns with marketing campaign themes
Provide and report on content measurement using a combination of web analytic tools, marketing automation, content management systems and social media management tools
Uncover and develop ways to scale content strategy in order to get the highest delivery out of each piece being created
Provide employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities including leadership development to enhance their skills, motivation, and performance
Match each employee's skills and talent with assignments to ensure optimal engagement and performance
Manage operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, performance management, development, and evaluation

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
Must be able to edit content for substance, sophistication, logic, grammar, and sentence structure
Minimum of 5 years' experience in content marketing, preferably B2B; 2 years managing a team
Track record of clear, successful communications in B2B marketing.
Innovative thinker with the ability to take complex topics and distil into unique, data-driven and actionable content
Understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement
Experience developing and managing editorial calendars and organization workflows
Bachelor's degree in journalism, business communications, finance or other business related field with significant writing and editing experience required. MBA preferred.
Less than 10% travel is required to meet with employees, vendors and/or suppliers
