Nova Southeastern University sponsors seventeen NCAA Division II teams. NSU is a member of the Sunshine State Conference and has finished in the top 45 of the Division II Learfield Sports Directors' Cup the last five years, including #12 for 2015-16. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, NSU offers more than 150 degree programs ranging from undergraduate through the professional and doctoral levels with more than 27,000 students and 162,000 alumni.
This 12 month, full-time position will manage all areas related to the promotion of NSU Athletics including: establish and grow business partner relationships, create and implement marketing strategies to increase attendance, revenue, and support internally and externally for the overall Athletic program, ensure contract fulfillments through vendors and campus partners, develop and execute all game day and in-game promotions, services and renews existing sponsorship contracts, serve as liaison between athletics department and Finatics student organization, build relationships and community programs to generate awareness and support of NSU Athletics, adhere to NSU athletic department policies and procedures adherence and operate within NCAA/SSC rules. The selected candidate will engage the local and campus community through appearances and marketing campaigns, contribute to the atmosphere of compliance and teamwork within the department and supervise student workers, graduate assistants and other support personnel.
Bachelor's Degree. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Excellent organization skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Layout Programs required. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, based on schedule. Proven creative and innovative approaches to generate capital through marketing required. Seeking self-motivated individual with interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
